The Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Festival Kicks off Friday, May 11, at Tribeca
Cinemas in New York City
Check out our trailer, read our interviews with emerging and
internationally-renowned filmmakers, vote for your favorite films and join
us for the festival reception and closing party at Tribeca Cinemas!
The Fourth Annual Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film FestivalT (BHFFT) is kicking
off this Friday, May 11 at Tribeca Cinemas, home of the Tribeca Film
Festival. This year's line-up includes twelve feature, documentary and short
films by emerging and internationally-renowned filmmakers that educate about
the Bosnian-Herzegovinian cinematography, present themes related to Bosnia
and Herzegovina, its history and culture, as well as inspire and entertain.
Some of our featured films include "Grbavica," "Border Post," "All For
Free," "Armin" and many others.

For the first time ever, we have an exciting BHFFT trailer. Conceptualized
and designed by Damir Pozderac, edited by Duncan

Interviews with Filmmakers
We have posted interviews with some of the filmmakers that will be featured

Son"), Refik Hodžić ("Statement 710399"), Rajko Grlić ("Border Post") and
Džemal Šabić ("Two Sisters - Story About Love" and "For Whom The Bell

Awards
This year, the New York-based actor Uliks Fehmiu will present the BHFFT 2007
Audience Award for the Best Short or Feature Film and the BHFFT 2007
Audience Award for the Best Documentary Film. Both awards will be given in
memory of recently-deceased Benjamin Filipović, award-winning film director,
professor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo and President of the
Association of Filmmakers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Those films that win
will be presented with "The Golden Apple" award, designed and made by the
accomplished Bosnian-American artist Aida Šehović. Don't forget to vote for
your favorite film! The voting slips will be distributed at the ticket booth
with your tickets.
Festival Opening and Closing Party at Tribeca Lounge
Please join us for the reception at the Tribeca Lounge (located downstairs
at Tribeca Cinemas) Friday from 6-7 pm and for the closing party at the same
location Saturday night at 11 pm.
