about Srebrenica Commemoration at the United Nations
Academy of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ABH) in New
York in cooperation with the Steering Committee for the Commemoration
of the Ten-Year Anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide is organizing
a multimedia art presentation as part of a broader commemorative
program to take place at the United Nations
building in New York over several days beginning on July 11th
2005. To secure relevant works of art ABH is announcing an
Art Contest
The presentation will showcase a selection of art
works with the theme commemorating the 10 years since the Srebrenica
massacre. It will include works inspired by the historical events
in Srebrenica, its aftermath and the coming future, influenced
by the retrospect of the massacre. It will comment on the massacre
and the phenomena of human experience faced with genocide in
its global context. Works can include paintings, photographs,
graphic design, video material and other appropriate media.
The Art Contest begins on February 10th
2005 and it will end on March 15th 2005.
Only entries received by the March 15th 2005 will be entered
into an official choice for final selection for the presentation.
Final number of art pieces will depend on the number of entries
and adaptability of artwork to the presentation. A special interest
will be given to young artists and art students both in the
diaspora and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Entries via Internet
Entries should be made in a digital format and
shall include
- Up to 5 digital images, minimal size of 400x200
pixels or other proportions based on art works.
- At least one image shall represent an art work with the theme
pertinent to the commemoration of the ten-year anniversary of
the Srebrenica genocide
- Description and information about the size and media
- Artist’s biography
All entries should be sent to the Academy of Bosnia

Vise o komemoraciji
Srebrenice u Ujedinjenim Nacijama
Akademija Bosne i Hercegovine (ABH) u New
York-u u suradnji sa Inicijalnim Odborom za organizaciju komemoracije
desetogodišnjice genocida u Srebrenici priprema multimedijalnu
umjetnicku prezentaciju u okviru programa komemoracije desetogodišnjice
genocida. Prezentacija ce biti održana u zgradi Ujedinjenih
Nacija u New York-u od 11. jula 2005. godine u sklopu
šireg programa. Da bi obezbjedili svrsishodne radove
ABH objavljuje
Konkurs
Prezentacija ce prikazati novo-ostvarena umjetnicka
djela sa temom obilježavanja desetogodišnjice genocida
u Srebrenici. Umjetnicka djela ce biti nadahnuta historijskim
dogadajima u Srebrenici ali ce i naglasiti buducnost i život
nakon genocida. Djela trebaju da tematski specificno opišu
genocid u Srebrenici ali mogu i da se osvrnu na generalni
pojam genocida kao dogadaja u jednom globalnom kontekstu.
Djela mogu ukljucivati slike, fotografije, graficki dizajn,
video djela i druge prikladne medije.
Konkurs pocinje 10. februara 2005.
i trajace do 15. marta 2005. godine. Samo
prijave za konkurs primljene do 15. marta 2005. ce uci u zvanicni
izbor za finalnu prezentaciju. Konacni broj umjetnickih dijela
ce zavisiti od broja prijava i prilagodljivosti djela prezentaciji.
Poseban interes ce se posvetiti mladim umjetnicima i studentima
umjetnosti u dijaspori i u Bosni i Hercegovini.
Prijave preko interneta
Prijave trebaju biti u digitalnom formatu i treba
da ukljuce:
- Do 5 digitalnih fotografija, minimalne velicine
400x200 pixel-a ili drugih proporcija shodno dimenzijama rada.
- Najmanje jedna fotografija mora reprezentirati umjetnicko
djelo sa temom prikladnom obilježavanju desetogodišnjice
genocida u Srebrenici.
- Opis djela, velicina i medij
- Biografija umjetnika. Biografije napisane na engleskom jeziku
su pogodnije.
Prijave se trebaju poslati Akademiji Bosne i
